1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wist mobile application ("Wist", "the app", "the service") operated by Wist ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Wist, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wist. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You may not create an account if you have been previously banned from Wist or are prohibited from using the service under applicable law.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must provide accurate information when registering. Your username must not impersonate another person or entity.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app under Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
4. User Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of the content you post on Wist — your posts, comments, and images remain yours.
License to Wist
By posting content on Wist, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute that content within the Wist service for the purpose of operating and improving the app. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.
Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Wist does not pre-screen user content, though we may remove content that violates these Terms or our Moderation Policy.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use Wist to:
- Post content that is illegal, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that facilitates violence, or content that violates intellectual property rights
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
- Doxx or expose private information about any person without their consent
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Wist staff
- Spam, flood, or repeatedly post identical or near-identical content
- Post NSFW (sexually explicit or graphically violent) content without using the NSFW flag
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
- Use automated tools to create accounts, post content, or interact with the service in ways not intended for human use
- Circumvent any moderation action taken against your account
6. Pins (Virtual Currency)
Wist includes a virtual currency called "pins" that can be purchased through in-app purchases and used to award content created by other users.
- No monetary value. Pins have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real money or transferred outside the app.
- Non-transferable. Pins in your balance cannot be transferred to another account.
- Non-refundable. All pin purchases are final except where required by applicable law (e.g., Apple's refund policy). Contact wist@wistapps.com or the relevant app store for refund requests.
- Subject to change. We reserve the right to modify pin pricing, availability, or the pin system at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
- No guarantee of availability. We do not guarantee that the pin system will continue to be available indefinitely.
7. Boards
Boards are community spaces created and managed by users. Board creators are responsible for moderating their boards in accordance with these Terms. Wist may remove any board that violates these Terms regardless of who created it.
Some boards are designated as NSFW. By accessing an NSFW board or enabling NSFW content in your settings, you confirm you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to view such content.
8. Termination
We may suspend or permanently ban your account if you violate these Terms or our Moderation Policy. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of the reason. In cases of severe violations (e.g., CSAM, credible threats of violence), accounts may be terminated immediately and without notice.

9. Disclaimers
Wist is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for the content posted by users.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wist and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of data or pins.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Wist after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
