1. Our Commitment
Wist prohibits any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors, without exception and in every part of the service. This prohibition is absolute: it applies in all boards — including boards marked NSFW — in posts, comments, images, usernames, profiles, and private fields alike. No policy, board setting, or user preference on Wist permits this material under any circumstance.
2. What These Standards Cover
Prohibited without exception:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual or written content that depicts or describes the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a minor, whether real, altered, or generated
- Sexualisation of minors — content that presents minors in a sexualised manner, including drawn, animated, fictional, or AI-generated depictions
- Grooming — using the service to contact, befriend, or manipulate a minor for a sexual purpose
- Sextortion — threatening to expose sexual content involving a person, including a minor, to coerce them
- Trafficking or solicitation — advertising, soliciting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor
- Self-generated sexual content involving minors — prohibited regardless of who created or shared it
3. Wist Is an Adults-Only Service
Wist is rated for and intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts identified as belonging to users under 18 are removed. This age requirement is part of our safety posture, but it does not soften anything above — CSAE standards are enforced independently of it.
4. How We Detect Violations
- Automated scanning — every post and comment (text and images) is scanned by automated content-safety systems when it is created. Content flagged as sexualising minors is removed automatically and immediately, and escalated for human review.
- Human moderation — Wist administrators review flagged content and user reports against these standards, with the highest priority given to child-safety reports.
- User reporting — every post, comment, and profile has an in-app report option available to all users (see below).
5. How to Report
Every post and comment on Wist has a ⋯ menu with a report option; profiles can be reported the same way. Reports are anonymous and reviewed by Wist administrators.
For urgent child-safety concerns, email us directly at contact@wistapps.com — do not rely solely on the in-app report for time-sensitive situations.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement first.
6. What Happens When We Find It
When content or behaviour violating these standards is identified, we:
- Remove the content immediately — severe automated flags are removed the moment they are detected, ahead of human review
- Permanently ban the account — with no warning step and no appeal
- Preserve evidence as required by law, and
- Report to the authorities — CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where applicable, to relevant regional and national law enforcement. We comply with all applicable child safety laws in the regions where Wist operates.
7. Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement relating to child safety and provide preserved records as required by applicable law.
8. Point of Contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact can speak to Wist's CSAM prevention practices and compliance with these standards:
